This medication is used to control and prevent seizures, and this medication is known as an anticonvulsant or antiepileptic drug. And its also used to treat panic attacks. Clonazepam belongs to a class of medications called benzodiazepines. Ask your doctor before you start using this medication, because this medication need to be used on daily base, usually 2 or 3 times a day.
Before using this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist your medical history, especially of:
- mental/mood problems
- a certain type of eye problem
- liver disease
- kidney disease
- regular use/abuse of drugs/alcohol/other substances
- lung/breathing problems
If you start using this medication, don’t drive or do any activity that requires alertness, because this medication may make you drowsy.
